Beautiful landscapes. Since the beginning of history, humans have been obsessed with good eyesight. Okay, we have no proof of that. But if you and I can look out the window and laugh at what we see, then you can imagine a Neanderthal looking out of his cave and thinking,
1. SNOWY MOUNTAINS: ALEUTIAN ISLANDS
Although the caveman Ug left no archaeological evidence of landscape appreciation, other cultures certainly sought out and valued the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
From ancient China to the Renaissance, people expressed their love for beautiful landscapes through their reproduction. yes, very good.”
At Much Better Adventures, we believe the best way to experience beautiful nature is to hike, hike, raft, or otherwise step away from the computer to see it in person.
But since you and I are obviously both looking at a screen now, we’ll compromise.
What is the modern equivalent of a Victorian art gallery?
There is something very beautiful about a pure snow landscape. It’s like taking an already beautiful mountain and covering it with ice.
These two mountains in the Aleutians – Pavlof 1 and Pavlof 2 – don’t even look real. Add a cloud inversion and you’re on another planet.
Fortunately, the beauty of a snow-capped mountain can be experienced almost anywhere in the world. Anywhere it’s cold enough or high enough (or both!) for snow, you’re good to go.
- CRATERS AND LAGOONS: ICELAND

Ah, Iceland, a land of ice and fire and ridiculously long words that no visitor can pronounce, rivaling Welsh! But we’re here to talk specifically about the craters and lagoons. We had to include the image above with its surprisingly vibrant colors and stunning mountain views.

Similar mountain lakes left by glaciers exist on a much larger scale than just Iceland. Glacial valleys can be seen from the Lake District to the Alps and in mountainous regions of the world. At least there was ice millions of years ago.
- ICE CAVES: ICELAN

When it comes to ice, we make the ice a beautiful scenic spot in itself. Iceland is not the only place where large chunks of ice and glaciers can be found. But we know you can hike Iceland’s glaciers. As if the ice wasn’t beautiful enough, you can walk under a transparent blue blanket.
- BEACHES AND COASTS: USA
When people think of beautiful beaches, they probably think of long stretches of white sand flowing into turquoise seas. Maybe a turtle or two.
But the rock formations around the coast, created by waves that are thousands of years old, are just as beautiful. Because that’s all sand is really small grains of rock…usually. Let’s not talk about parrotfish poop (look it up). Discover Top 6 the Best Landscape Place in the World
We just loved this dramatic photo of a coastal cave in a mysterious location on the California coast. But every island has a coast if you find the edges. So many coastlines are beautiful in their own right – be it the storm-shaped cliffs of Cornwall or the smooth beaches of Flores Island in Indonesia.
- VOLCANIC LANDSCAPES: ETHIOPIA

- WATER: NORWAY
Norway’s fjords with high walls surrounding a bay.
There are few landscapes as stunning as Norway’s fjords, with high walls surrounding a bay.
Of course, we’d much rather be out and about than just looking at it, like kayaking along the Greek coast or island hopping in Sweden. We also love the Norwegian fjords, where vast stretches of glassy water are surrounded by steep mountains.
- JUNGLE: COLOMBIA

A Wimba street, a Wimba street, a… just kidding. But the mighty jungle has many beautiful landscapes to offer, regardless of whether there is a sleeping lion in it. There probably won’t be a sleeping lion because lions don’t live in the jungle – which brings up a whole series of questions that we have to answer in our childhood.

While we find out, you can experience the real jungle for yourself. Like a 100 km jungle expedition through Colombia. The Samana watershed is a rainforest paradise with biodiversity rarely visited by tourists. No lions. Promise.
- THE DESERT: MOROCCO

The lions leave us, but not the camels. There was once a time when the Sahara was underwater. Instead of water as far as the eye can see, there is now sand as far as the eye can see. A bit like being shrunk to an ant and left in a sandbox… but without the danger of giant children. Discover Top 6 the Best Landscape Place in the World
What is perhaps even more astonishing than the baron, the vast desert, are the cities and human settlements that spring up within it, such as Ait Benhaddou, an ancient city in Morocco, above.

- ROCK FORMATIONS: SCOTLAND
The Old Man of Storr, a popular hiking spot on the Isle of Skye in Scotland
The strange rock formations of the Old Man of Storr on the Scottish Isle of Skye create an ethereal landscape. Perhaps it reminds us of magical towers or the gates of Mordor. We’re not sure, but there’s a hint of fantasy in the rock pillars. Or maybe location scouts for fantasy films simply create a self-perpetuating cycle. Skye is a wild and desolate mountain island ready for adventure.
- FOREST: SLOVENIA

Okay, well, we could have chosen any number of forests. There is something beautiful about deciduous trees that change color with the seasons. It’s like seeing autumn ahead. The forests in Slovenia are beautiful in autumn and we learned this firsthand on a team trip to Slovenia. Even if your adventure doesn’t go 100% according to plan, you can still enjoy nature.
